BRONZE BEHAVING BADLY: LEARN THE PRINCIPLES OF BRONZE CONSERVATION AND MANAGMENT

Bronze conservation is a niche area and not something that you will necessarily have been given training in even if you have studied conservation. Our aim is to bridge the knowledge gap in metal conservation.

This course brings together the foundations of the subject mixed with many years of practical experience from tutor, Lucy Branch MA ACR’s.  The focus of the course is on the care and management of large objects and has been written specifically for asset managers,  custodians of bronze and conservators. You could glean this information from a variety of sources, but without a guide, it’s hard to know which recommendations are applicable to your object or your work context. In this online course, you will see dozens of different examples of bronze features, the problems they encounter and how those issues can be resolved.
